In this still life, I sought to convey an atmosphere of calm and timelessness, where everyday objects are given a new sense of value and meaning. The copper pot in the foreground draws the eye with its warm, metallic glow, reflecting light in a way that speaks of life lived and stories told. There is something honest and genuine in its presence – it holds memories from the kitchen, echoes of meals and moments that might otherwise be forgotten.
I included dried grasses and garlic cloves as a contrast to the metal objects, and together they create an organic balance within the composition. These elements bring a natural softness and rustic quality, allowing space for contemplation. The silver pitcher in the background has an elegant, almost timeless silhouette, while the darker container adds depth and a sense of stability.
For me, this painting is about finding beauty in the ordinary – seeing the value in the simple and familiar. Each object, with its textures and tones, carries a quiet testimony of time passed. Together, they create a mood that invites the viewer to linger, to find a kind of stillness and reflection in what might otherwise go unnoticed. Tellus Vituz
